Kimi Raikkonen won his first grand prix in 2009 from Giancarlo Fisichella at Spa while Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton crashed out early.
Barrichello started terribly and was left behind. But still manage his car to finish at 7 and catch 2 important point.
Vettel completes the podium. Kubica is fourth, Heidfeld fifth and the other points positions filled by Kovalainen, Barrichello - whose Brawn catches fire in the pitlane - and Rosberg.
