Qualifying F1 GP Singapore 2009: Brawn Disaster

In the remaining four series competition and championship leader position as not safe, Brawn GP losing strategic position for the race in Singapore. Qualifying session which brought disaster.
In the crucial session on the Marina Bay circuit on Saturday (26/9/2009) night, Jenson Button was only ranked 12th, while Rubens Barrichello two grid in front. Barrichello was fifth best time recorded during qualifying, but he hit back five grid penalty for changing girboks.
"It's not a good position," said Button told Reuters. "This is heavy, and yes, I'm afraid can not be points."
Team boss, Ross Brawn, agrees that the complaint drivers. "It's a disastrous session for us," he said.
Brawn acknowledged it underestimated the Q2 bit for not making the balance between a set of old and new tire them.
Barrichello, who hit the wall circuit in the last 26 seconds Q3, did not dare to boast about what he could earn in the race today.
"Good thing's start at the fifth position. But I was in the order of 10. So, we'll see," he said. "It's never easy. I think we'll see a lot of incidents (the race) ... a lot of yellow flags ... So, we'll see."
